Meet Dr Eamon Rawlins

As a director and co-founder of SUPTA, I have witnessed its remarkable growth and successes since its inception in 2021. SUPTA was born from a shared vision between myself and my friend/colleague, Eamon. Together, along with support from our rotating committees, we have built a platform that fosters meaningful connections, facilitates mentorship, and nurtures a community where healthcare students can thrive as educators.

My name is Eamon Rawlins and I am a Foundation Doctor in the Southwest of England. My interests lie in Clinical Education, Orthopaedic Surgery, General Surgery and leadership. I am from Barbados and my interest in Surgery began during an Orthopaedic placement set up by by local surgical society. My interest in Clinical Education was fostered while I was president of my University’s medical education society. Following this experience I was eager to start my own teaching programme. I began SUPTA with Conor and a few other medical students in 2021 and after realising it’s potential, we decided to expand our committee and grow the programme.
I also enjoy reading and watching movies.
